Barbara R. Stucki, PH.D.

Dr. Stucki has built her career helping older Americans manage the financial challenges of aging. Currently, she is principal at BRStucki Consulting. Prior to her consulting activities, Dr. Stucki was CEO of NestCare FPC, a startup company that developed an innovative home equity release produce for seniors to age in place. She also served as Vice President for Home Equity Initiatives for the National Council on Aging, where she oversaw NCOA’s national reverse mortgage counseling network and conducted research on the role of home equity to as a retirement resource. Prior to NCOA, Barbara was a senior policy analyst for the American Council of Life Insurers, working on issues relating to long-term care insurance. She also spent six years at the Public Policy Institute at AARP, working long-term care financing and insurance.

Dr. Stucki has advised many industry groups including the National Governors Association and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) Advisory Council, as well as testifying before Congress and the Federal Reserve Board. Her work has been cited by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, USA Today, Bloomberg, Money Magazine, Business Week, Fortune Magazine, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine, and National Public Radio among others.
